Dear Parents/Guardians,
IUSD conducts an annual Multiple Criteria Measure screening process for all students in 3rd through 6th grades to identify students for placement in the Gifted and Talented Education (GATE) Program. As a part of the screening process, IUSD offers families an optional and fee-based OLSAT assessment. When administered by IUSD, it will be considered as one screening measure. Please note, the OLSAT is not required for GATE identification. For the 2019-2020 school year, the OLSAT  will be administered in July and August 2019. Families interested in taking the OLSAT should register for the summer testing administration. No dates will be added later in the school year. Please visit the following links for further information.

A full written summary of IUSD MCM GATE screening process can be viewed here.
A video presentation of IUSD MCM GATE screening process can be viewed here.
OLSAT Registration opens June 17 on the GATE Department webpage.

*Please note: Students that qualify for GATE in the 2018-19 GATE screening process will be notified via email the week of June 10, 2019.

Sincerely,
