CAC-GATE Board Election Process

Dear Parents,
You are invited to participate in IUSD's CAC-GATE Board election process by nominating yourself as a candidate or encouraging another parent to serve.The CAC-GATE Board is comprised of the IUSD District Coordinator, three IUSD Teacher Representatives, and three IUSD GATE Parent representatives. The Board meets four times each year in the afternoon.
The CAC-GATE Board's purpose is to promote and facilitate an effective partnership between the teachers, administrators, and families who are involved in the education of gifted and talented students. Each year the council offers resources, information, and support to parents so they can act as partners in their child’s education. As a member of this council, you would serve to provide district personnel with feedback from parents of GATE Program students, be a part of assessing the effectiveness of existing programs, and provide input in planning for continuous improvement.
If you are interested in serving on this council, please complete this google form by Friday, March 16, 2018. A voting ballot will then be sent to GATE families on April 9. CAC-GATE elected Board Members will be announced via email on April 20. Newly elected Board Members will be welcomed at the April 30 Board Meeting at 3:30 p.m.
